BACKBONE
This band, led by the inimitable Dick Powell (Formerly of the Crome Syrcus) was the quintessential Boogie Band. Dick’s blues-based harmonica covered everything from the Stones to James Brown – and he could move a crowd like none other. You’ll hear Dick’s playing on Never Too Old to Rock and Roll on my CD.
With Richard McNamee on Bass, Paul Wager on Drums, Bill Tomisser on Keyboards and yours truly on guitar, this band could play long and hard.
